Record Grading Standards

All records offered through the Pink Jaguars Used Vinyl Marketplace are cleaned, inspected, graded and play tested by McVey's Music.

We follow the Goldmine grading standard used by Discogs and other professional vinyl sellers.

Because records and jackets often age differently, we grade them separately.

Example:

Vinyl: NM
Sleeve: VG

This means the record itself is Near Mint while the jacket shows more noticeable wear.

Near Mint (NM)

A nearly perfect record with minimal signs of use. Playback should be excellent.

Very Good Plus (VG+)

A well-cared-for record that may show light signs of use but should play very well with minimal surface noise.

Very Good (VG)

A record with more noticeable wear and some surface noise, but still enjoyable to listen to.

Play Tested & Guaranteed

Every record offered through this marketplace is play tested before being listed.

We generally do not offer records graded below VG.
