The DMM Music Access Fund

Since the age of 8, music has been a huge part of my life. I cannot overstate the role it’s played or the impact it’s had on me personally. This is my way of helping more young people in Canada experience the many benefits of music, by supporting MusiCounts and contributing to a thriving culture of music education that prioritizes access, inclusivity, and long-term sustainability.

Who this supports

The DMM Music Access Fund supports MusiCounts — Canada’s national music education charity associated with CARAS and The JUNO Awards.

MusiCounts helps strengthen music education across Canada by investing in schools and communities through funding programs that provide instruments, equipment, and resources so kids can access meaningful music education.

DMM’s intent: to keep this simple, consistent, and real — not a campaign, not guilt-driven, not noisy. Just a steady commitment that grows as DMM grows.

How it works

  1. Supported volumes: When a business sponsors a DMM volume, a portion of that support is set aside for the fund.
  2. Merch support: $5 from every Music Over Money t-shirt sale contributes to the fund.
  3. Giving rhythm: Donations are made on a simple schedule (e.g., quarterly) and totals are posted here for transparency.

Transparency note

This page will always reflect the current commitment. If anything changes, it will be updated here first.

I want to do more than donate

Same. Beyond fundraising, I want to contribute time and effort where it’s actually useful. MusiCounts supports getting involved through donating, fundraising, and volunteering.
